se·lah: to wait and listen, to reflect on what God has done

Hey there! I am so glad you are here. I am Chandler, founder of Selah Birth Co. I am a holistic birth doula passionate about serving women through pregnancy, birth, and postpartum. I am a wife to my incredible husband and mom to three young children.

With my first daughter, I planned an unmedicated birth at a birth center. I spent the entire pregnancy paralyzed by fear. Afraid to trust my body, the birth process, and my intuition. Despite a medical transfer due to pre-eclampsia, I had a relatively typical birth. When I became pregnant with my second child, I decided to take my fear and turn it into education. The more I learned, the more passionate I became. I determined to have the birth of my dreams. I have gone on to have two very different home birth experiences. One was the hardest thing I have ever done. One was the most peaceful experience I have ever had. All three transformed and shaped me into the mother, wife and doula that I am today.

I believe that this work changes lives. I believe when you are supported in this season, it benefits your entire family. I believe in your innate abilities to birth your baby. I believe you are uniquely equipped to grow, birth, and raise your child. I believe that you can love your birth and you deserve to be supported wherever you give birth.
